Wed Feb 24
12 pm ET, 11 am CT, 10 am MT, 9 am PT

April 1, 2010 is Census Day, the day when everyone in all our communities will be counted. Achieving a full and accurate count in your community is essential because Census counts have a direct impact on the distribution of federal funds, economic development and voting power.

Learn how to work in your community to make sure everyone, regardless of citizenship status, is counted accurately in the 2010 census. A panel of speakers will provide strategies and talk about effective actions to ensure that the residents in your community who are most likely to be missed are counted fully. The panel will also talk about available resources and specific tools to plan effective outreach and to promote census participation among hard-to-count groups.

Webinar participants will:

A. Explore ways your organization can conduct outreach within your community

B. Learn the strongest messages and about materials for getting the word out to hard-to-count groups

C. Discuss outreach ideas and tactics for hard-to-count groups

D. Learn about existing resources for outreach to ensure your community is fully and fairly counted
